The final straw was when HD removed half the tasks and made them optional, which makes an absolute farce out of all the time and effort that has been put into this bootcamp to date.
Many times the things Hyperiondev said we're contradictory to the agreement we had signed at the start, and at one point they said there would be no certificate without securing an interview, which they were supposed to organise for us as per the funding requirements. However the course has got progressively worse and poorly delivered, with missed lectures, terrible internet connections, lecturers not showing up and most upsettingly chopping and changing the requirements of what we needed to do to complete the course. It started well with an absolutely excellent lecturer (who has sadly now left) who really made the bootcamp work for me, I was enjoying the tasks and I found the mentor I met with helpful and supportive. Are they worried about people giving negative feedback and if so why don't they try to address that rather than attempting to close down debate? _original review_ Very disappointed in the bootcamp I have done (software engineering funded by DfE). What are Hyperiondev doing to improve their communications with students and why do they do things like taking people off their official discord channel, removing chat in lectures etc. Why, having not organised this interview, have they made it a condition of completing the bootcamp? 5. Why have Hyperiondev not organised the interview as per the agreement with DfE and the student contract? 4.
Have HyperionDev considered that cutting this course down to this extent massively devalues their learning offer, and is also highly demotivating? 3. why have Hyperiondev made all the tasks from T26 onwards (for SE DfE funded course) now optional? 2. But for the avoidance of doubt and to spell it out as a couple of simple questions that they can respond to: 1. I think that my original review was a reasonable summary of many issues I have had with the company, and cannot be deemed to be either harmful or illegal in content.
